Pomegranate Sparkler

This is an absolute gorgeous water with floating pomegranate seeds that look like red ruby jewels and burst in your mouth with sweet deliciousness. The lime rounds out the fruity flavour and sparkling water makes it feel bubbly like a cocktail, but it isn’t :-)

We love serving this during brunch. It is a hydrating, gorgeous mocktail that make us ladies feel sparkly and keep us focused on our health goals.

Pomegranates can be messy to open and it stains bright red (which turns brown after.) First, wear and apron and second, I recommend filling a bowl of water and pulling out the seeds (arils) under the water. The juice won’t squirt out then and it will be less messy. You can drain the arils with a sieve and use immediately. The arils store well for up to 3 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. So if making it for brunch, I would do it the night before.

Ingredients:

  • Pomegranate bits (arils)
  • Lime slices
  • Sparkling water
  • Cocktail tumbler or champagne flute

Method:

  1. Pop out the pomegranate bits into a bowl, rinse
  2. Put 1-2 big spoons of the pomegranate bits into each glass
  3. Pour sparkling water in
  4. Then squeeze in a slice of lime
  5. Enjoy
